Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Decreely, LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Decreely," "we," "us") for your use of getdecreely.com, the Decreely apps and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy policy.
What Decreely does
Decreely reads the divorce decrees, judgments, custody orders and parenting plans you upload, turns them into rules both parents can review, and then runs them: it builds the parenting-time calendar, sends reminders, reads receipts and applies your orders' expense split, moves payments through a licensed processor, drafts messages for you to approve, answers questions with the clause cited, and keeps a record you can export.
Not legal advice
Decreely is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Decreely helps you follow the orders you already have; it does not interpret ambiguous terms for you, predict how a court will rule, or replace your attorney.
Decreely shows you every rule it reads from your orders, with the page and paragraph, and nothing takes effect until you review it. Your court orders always control. If anything in Decreely differs from your orders, follow your orders and tell us so we can correct it. You are responsible for checking the rules, calendar entries, amounts and messages before you rely on or send them.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
- Give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Upload only documents you have the right to share. Each parent holds their own account; the shared parts of the record are visible to both parents as the Service is designed.
Plans, trials and billing
- Free seat. Every parent can keep a free seat with the shared rules, calendar, requests, payments and full record.
- Free trial. New accounts get a free trial of Autopilot. We do not charge you when the trial ends unless you choose a paid plan. If you don't, your account moves to a free seat and nothing is deleted.
- Paid plans. Autopilot, Autopilot Plus and the Family license are billed monthly or annually, in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe. Taxes may apply.
- Family license. One license covers both parents. If you choose to split the cost by your orders' percentages, each parent is charged their share, and the license stays active only while both shares are paid.
- One-time purchases. Certified records packages and paperwork kits are charged when you order them.
- Payments between parents. Money moves through our licensed payment processor and is subject to its terms. Bank transfers are free; card payments carry a processing fee, shown before you pay. Decreely never holds your funds.
Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annually, at the then-current price, and we charge the payment method on file unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- For annual plans, we email you a reminder at least 7 days before each renewal, with the date and the amount.
- If the price of your plan changes, we tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in Settings → Billing, online, in a few taps. You keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to a free seat.
- If a renewal payment fails, we will retry and notify you. If it still fails, your account moves to a free seat.
Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel anytime. Canceling stops future renewals. Your records stay, and you keep a free seat.
- Annual plans: if you ask within 14 days of being charged, for a new subscription or a renewal, we refund that charge in full. After 14 days, annual charges are not refundable, but you keep access through the paid period.
- Monthly plans: monthly charges are not refundable, and you keep access through the end of the month you paid for.
- Certified records packages are refundable until the package is generated. If a package has an error we caused, we will correct it at no charge or refund it.
- Billing errors: if we charged you incorrectly, we refund the incorrect amount.
- To request a refund, email billing@getdecreely.com or use the contact page. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
- Nothing in this section limits any refund right you have under the law where you live.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to harass, threaten or intimidate anyone; to impersonate anyone; to upload documents you have no right to share; to break the law or a court order; or to interfere with or reverse-engineer the Service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content
You own your documents, messages and records. You give Decreely permission to store, process and display them only as needed to provide the Service to you and the people you share with. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Automation and your approvals
You choose how much Decreely does on its own. By default, nothing is sent and no money moves until you approve it. If you turn on features that act automatically, such as sending updates when Decreely is confident or auto-paying agreed recurring costs up to a limit, you authorize those actions within the settings you choose, and you can change or turn them off at any time.
Records and court use
Decreely keeps a time-stamped record and can prepare a records package with a records custodian declaration. Whether a court accepts any record is up to the court. We will respond to valid legal process as described in our Privacy policy.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We work hard to read orders accurately and keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Decreely is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms, with notice where practical. Before your account is closed, you can export your record.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
